Why................

Why do they sell sugar-free or low carb jams and jellies? If my diet prevents me from having sugar and too many carbs, then what am I supposed to spread the sugar-free jam on? "Air" bread??

Saturday is Cleaning Day!!

It's Saturday and I'm cleaning house. I'm starting with the living room 'cause that's where the Direct TV is.........
I'm watching Angel.....usually I watch HGTV. I really don't know why, I'll never be able to afford all the decorating makeovers they do, but sometimes I get an affordable idea or two.
The computer is also in the living room...very tempting...
I decided while a commercial is on I'll compute and while the show is on I'll clean.
Somehow I've got it backwards........

Angel is fighting some ugly monsters with yellow blood right now.....
Commercial....gotta go clean some more.......

Storm's Gone!!

Storms have blown over but it could have been a lot worse here.....lots of sirens going off.
We got some pretty good-sized hail out of it.
That's my Dad's hand....

Stormy Night

Storms are coming our way....
A tornado hit Mena and did a lot of damage and caused injuries.
The storm is coming our way so we are keeping our heads up and ears open...
We are all home and Katie has her friend Tiffany for a sleep-over tonight.
I sure hope we don't have to run to the storm cellar tonight!

Sun's Out!!!

Great News!!! the sun is out...looks like it will be a pretty day...at least for a while.
I start my new job tomorrow...no more SAHM for me....I have mixed feelings. But money-wise, things will be a lot better around here.
I don't really know what I should wear the first day...she didn't tell me and I forgot to ask...lol
Denny told me to take the CC and buy something office-looking and some new shoes. Then if they tell me to wear scrubs...then I'll get some new ones!! lol I'm thinking about buying a pattern and sewing my own scrub tops.

Sunday

It's cloudy and a little dreary this morning. Katie spent the night with Jess and Denny went ot work for a few hours this morning. Charlie's asleep in his room but probably won't be up to about noon!! So I pretty much have the house to myself.....cleaning, laundry etc. I will try to do some sewing to....I really need to organize my fabric, patterns, etc.

This is a make bag with a zipper that I made a while back. I haven't come across the pattern yet in my stash, but it either a simplicity or McCall's pattern. It was very easy and I'll make more when I find my pattern!! lol
Notice the shop-vac on the left side...that's my husband's. He can never seem to put it back where it belongs after using it....lol

IT's pretty quiet around here tonight.........
all 4 of the kids went to the movies.
made hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and bacon for Denny and me....
catching up on some laundry

I have decided (with help from Karen) that I WILL have enough stuff made to have a booth at Old Fashioned Day in October........Karen and I will work furiously making crafts to sell!!!
I have made 2 handbags so far.............

I downloaded Firefox...it's great!!! NOW my internet explorer is working fine.....
gonna keep the FIREFOX.........

expecting stormy weather tonite...
charlie has come home from his friend's house....
and katie is at her friend's house.....
warned her that i would be there to get her when i hear if the storm is gonna hit us tonite..............

It's 11:10 pm....katie is at karen's, charlie is at james' and denny is sound asleep after a late supper of soup and sandwiches.

Now it's just me and this STUPID!!! computer....

direct tv...but there's nothing on worth watching...

right now it's on the scifi channel....Underneath Lochness
